My approach

Most of us have a need to transform into our ideal self, improve our lives and discover the purpose of our existence. That said, our life circumstances, the demands of and restrictions imposed by society, traumatic experiences and, more often than not, the people around us put up obstacles, which prevent us from completing this journey. One of the goals of psychotherapy is to kickstart and bring the process of transformation and individuation into focus.

Along this journey, I offer support, my dedication and a safe environment, each of which is an important element of the psychotherapeutic relationship and process. I focus on internal and unconscious psychological processes, which may manifest themselves as physical or psychological symptoms, conflicts (internal or external), or as patterns of ineffective behaviors and failed relationships. Of course, the therapeutic relationship, like any human relationship, asks for commitment from both client and analyst. Only through this commitment, you and I together can better understand those internal and subconscious processes and, hopefully, facilitate their integration into the conscious self.

My approach to psychotherapy is creative, spontaneous and tailored to your needs and personality. I believe that every person is unique and, thus, unlike Procrustes, I focus on our relationship and not on how to fit you into a psychological theory or method.

Having been in the position of the analysand, I know very well that, in addition to the experience and academic background of a psychotherapist, the chemistry and compatibility between the individuals entering in a psychotherapeutic relationship are just as important for the success of any intervention. This is why, regardless of whether you will decide to continue your psychotherapeutic journey with me or not, I offer an introductory session at a lower than my usual rate. At the end of this session you will most likely know or feel if I am the right fit for you.
